Beyond Passadiços do Paiva

The Passadiços do Paiva and 516 Arouca Bridge are located in a natural preserve called the Arouca Geopark. Several trail networks wind throughout the region to explore.  Arouca town The nearby Arouca town is idylically nestled in the mountains houses a Municipal Museum, Monestary and Museum of Sacred Art. Visit in the fall for its Harvest Festival.

 Freita da Mizarela waterfall The Freita da Mizarela is Portugal’s tallest waterfall, cascading 196 ft / 60 m down the granite of Freita Mountain.
